The journey to the Holy Shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi is an enchanting journey of the places where Mata Vaishnavi had spent some time while observing various spiritual disciplines and penances. The culmination of this journey is at the Holy Cave where She merged Her Human form with the astral form of Her creators, the three Supreme Energies.
Day 1: Day 1: Jammu-Katra (50 kms) : On arrival at Jammu airport/railway station, you will be transferred to Katra in an air-conditioned vehicle which will take approximately 2 hours. On arrival in Katra, check-in at your hotel. The holy town of Katra is the starting point of the 14 km (approx.) trek to the holy shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi. You may leave for darshan in the evening (or next morning, as per your choice). You’ll be given your yatra parchi at the hotel and the hotel will provide you a transfer to Ban Ganga, which is the starting point of the yatra.
Day 2: Day 2: Katra | Darshan : The duration of darshan can range from 7 hours to more than 20 hours depending on the customer. Once you return back to Ban Ganga, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for breakfast (if the timings match) and for an overnight stay. Please note that the breakfast timings are fixed as per the hotel’s breakfast timings.
Day 3: Day 3: Katra-Jammu (50 kms) : After breakfast, you will be transferred to Jammu airport for your onward flight, which will take approximately 2 hours.
